Welcome to Electrolux inverter air conditioner product page

Keep your home cool while saving energy with Electrolux inverter air conditioners. Available in 1 to 1.8 ton, perfect for rooms up to 334ft².

Difference between inverter and non-inverter AC

Based on the type of compressor used, air conditioners can be categorised into 2 types: inverter AC and fixed-speed (conventional) AC.

Inverter air conditioners

Inverter air conditioners use a variable speed compressor. This means the compressor can adjust its motor speed based on the cooling needs of the room. When the desired temperature is reached, the compressor slows down instead of completely shutting off.

Fixed-speed (conventional) air conditioners

This traditional type of AC is also known as fixed-speed air conditioners. As its name suggests, this type of AC relies on a fixed-speed compressor. The compressor runs at full capacity until the set temperature is reached, then it completely shuts off.

Inverter AC or Fixed-speed AC?

Overall, inverter AC represents a more advanced and efficient air conditioning technology yet has a higher initial cost compared to fixed-speed models. While the long-term energy savings, improved comfort, and quieter operation can make inverter AC a worthwhile investment, non-inverter or fixed-speed AC is also a good choice if you are on a budget.

Room size and AC capacity

Choosing the correct capacity for a room air conditioner ensures efficient and effective cooling. The ton or BTU rating determines the unit's cooling capacity, essential for matching with your room's size for optimal energy efficiency and comfort.

This guide outlines suitable AC capacity for different room sizes in ton and square feet (sq ft), assisting in selecting the right air conditioner:

Room size (sq ft)

Air conditioner capacity (ton)

Small (up to 160 sq ft)

0.5 – 0.8 ton

Medium (160 – 350 sq ft)

1 – 1.5 ton

Very large (350 – 650+ sq ft)

1.8 – 2.5 ton

Electrolux's inverter AC range ensures there is a perfect fit for a variety of room sizes and cooling requirements, ensuring comfort without compromising on efficiency.
